Nike

Designed in 1971 by graphic design student Carolyn Davidson for a fee of just $35, the Nike swoosh is one of the most simple yet recognizable logos ever created. Initially, the logo was accompanied by the word “Nike,” but in 1992 the company dropped its name from the logo and most of its marketing — a testament to the power of the swoosh.
